We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and installations for our facilities. - Perform a variety of maintenance, repair, and installation tasks for the physical plant and mechanical equipment, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment and facilities.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions with staff and customers.
- Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, adhering to safety standards and protocols.
- Collaborate with supervisor and other maintenance staff to ensure seamless operations and continuous improvement of facilities.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and inventory of tools and supplies.
- Perform seamless drywall repairs and paint.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Post-secondary education in maintenance, electrical, plumbing, or a related field is an asset.
- Proven experience in maintenance and repair, preferably in facilities management.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience with electrical maintenance and repair.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor, such as digging, hauling, shoveling, lifting heavy equipment (50 lbs.), and working outside in extreme temperatures (hot/cold) and varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work under supervision as well as perform tasks unaided and independently.
- Be on-call and respond promptly to address snow removal, ice treatment, burst pipes, backup generators, and any other emergencies.
- Valid driver's license with good driving record is required.
- Ability to pass a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and maintenance aptitude test.
