We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Texas Family Law Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of family law principles and demonstrate proficiency in various legal research and administrative tasks. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Must have extensive knowledge of Texas family law.
Duties : -
Assist attorneys in the preparation of legal documents related to family law cases, including divorce petitions, custody agreements, and support orders.
Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis to support case preparation and strategy.
Transcribe legal documents and maintain accurate records of case files using iManage.
Interview clients and witnesses to gather necessary information for case development.
Manage case calendars, deadlines, and filings to ensure timely submissions.
Provide administrative support by organizing files, managing correspondence, and scheduling meetings.
Assist with estate planning matters as needed, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Collaborate with attorneys on various aspects of family law cases, including litigation support.
Qualifications : -
Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification preferred.
Proven experience as a paralegal or in a similar role within a law firm is highly desirable.
Knowledge of family law practices and procedures is essential; familiarity with securities law or immigration law is a plus.
Strong research skills and proficiency in legal research databases such as Lexis-Nexis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to transcribe accurately.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with case management software like iManage.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
