Full Job Description
A leading steel fabricator is looking for help to oversee the steel/metal fieldwork for a major construction project in Nashville. This field superintendent will be a full-time employee with benefits including a vehicle allowance, phone allowance, health insurance, 401k plan with match, paid holidays, and paid time off. Experience overseeing steel construction projects is required. (Candidates must be able to travel to the Washington, DC-area office for training for 1-2 weeks before work on the job site begins.)

Requirements
- Field/Site management experience with structural/misc. metal work
- OSHA 30 (min.) certification
- Be able to pass a drug test
- Must have own transportation
- Procore knowledge or ability to learn it
- Well-versed in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Be self-motivated
- Able to walk jobsites, climb a ladder, work outdoors exposed to the elements, stand on your feet for extended hours
- Able to read a tape measure and understand structural and/or architectural drawings
- Manage jobsite safety and requirements with subcontractors
- Manage QC requirements/expectations with subcontractors
- Communication skills, documentation skills, attend job site meetings, schedule/coordinate work with subs and internal teams
- Submit electronic reports in Procore to the general contractor
- Work from heights including equipment, scaffolding, and ladders while wearing PPE and a PFAS
- Supervise and motivate erection personnel
- Field measure
- Prepare daily logs and weekly timesheets as necessary
- Plan future erection activities/develop a schedule
- Schedule erection crews and deliveries
- Resolve jobsite problems
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Negotiate Change Order Requests
- Provide feedback to detailing
- Other work, which may be assigned by executives
