Position Summary :
The primary function of this position is to provide reliable, high-quality customer support through on-site maintenance, inspection, and preventive services performed on all fire equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Perform fire protection inspections and preventive maintenance services primarily for commercial customers.
The primary function of this position is to provide reliable, high-quality customer support through on-site inspecting and preventive maintenance services performed on various brands of manufacturer's equipment.
Maintain professionalism with customers ensuring problem resolution promptly.
Organize and effectively utilize technical resources, information, material, and support to ensure efficient execution of all assigned tasks.
Monitor and ensure the progress and completion of assigned tasks.
Complete and submit all required task-related, activity, productivity, and other documentation promptly.
Be proficient at and train other less senior inspectors how to follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education :
High school diploma or GED certification, preferred.
Professional Experience :
Two plus years of experience in the installation or service of fire alarm systems, preferred.
Licenses, Certifications, Credentials, or Other Requirements :
Must be able to obtain Oklahoma State commercial fire alarm license.
NICET or ICC fire inspector certification desired, but not required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Will have a working knowledge of local, state, and national fire codes.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of maintaining frequent contact with upper management, customers, vendors, and / or internal staff to furnish and obtain information and resolve issues; typically capable of developing and delivering effective group presentations.
Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.
Consequences of error are easily measured and can be confined.
Performs own work and provides assistance to others as directed
Physical activity is normally required on the job, or requires exposure to the elements or job related hazards but not on a routine basis. Hazards are not severe.
This position typically performs work within a normal office environment. The employee may occasionally lift and / or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must pass pre-employment drug tests and background screening.
