Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting soil and rock investigations, analyzing data, and providing recommendations for construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of geotechnical principles, excellent technical writing skills, and proficiency in relevant software tools. The Geotechnical Engineer will work closely with project managers and other engineering disciplines to ensure successful project execution.
Duties
Lead geotechnical investigations, including planning, fieldwork, sampling, and testing.
Analyze soil, rock, and groundwater data to develop engineering recommendations.
Prepare detailed geotechnical reports, including foundation design, slope stability, and earth retention system analyses.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop cost-effective and innovative solutions.
Provide geotechnical expertise during construction phases, including reviewing submittals and responding to RFIs (Requests for Information).
Ensure compliance with industry standards, local regulations, and project specifications.
Mentor junior staff and oversee their fieldwork and analysis.
Experience
4 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on site investigations, foundation design, and slope stability.
Strong understanding of geotechnical principles, soil mechanics, and foundation engineering.
Proficiency with geotechnical analysis software.
Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
Education :
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Licenses and Certifications :
Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
