Position : Immigration Paralegal
Location : Whittier, CA, 90602
About the Position :
We are a growing immigration and criminal solo practice located in the Whittier, CA area. This is an excellent opportunity for an Immigration Clerk / Paralegal to receive hands-on training directly from the attorney. We are selective in our cases and aggressive in our representation, offering you the chance to gain significant experience in immigration law. This position is ideal for someone looking to advance their career in the field.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage family-based immigration cases, including drafting I-601A waivers, responses to USCIS requests, and organizing immigration packages (U Visas, VAWAs, Consular Processing, CIS Adjustment of Status).
Draft and assist with writing and research, under the supervision of the attorney.
Handle a diverse caseload, manage competing demands, prioritize tasks, and ensure attention to detail.
Provide support in client communications and legal document preparation.
Assist with all aspects of family-based immigration, including consular processing, visa applications, and adjustment of status.
Qualifications :
At least 2 years of experience processing all aspects of family-based immigration cases.
Proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage a caseload in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to demonstrate compassion when handling sensitive immigration matters.
Previous experience drafting immigration forms (I-601A, U Visas, VAWAs) and handling USCIS responses is a plus.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Candidates must live near Whittier, CA.
