Job Description
The Process Technician is responsible for mold installation and removal, start-up and troubleshooting of existing jobs, and direction of workstation set-up and effectiveness. Will aid in determining process ability to establish the largest process window while meeting customer specifications and profitability.
Duties & Responsibilities :
Ability to perform all duties of Set-Up Technician
Mold installation and removal
Interacts with all departments to recommend, implement and follow through processing problems and maintaining optimum process conditions.
Maintain process data logs and process set-up sheets
Machine start-up and shutdowns
Procure and analyze IQMS data
Communication with shift personnel to ascertain equipment effectiveness and reliability
Maintaining Set-up equipment condition, organization, and inventories
Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, process and quality systems.
Assist in training of Set-Up Tech personnel.
Perform other duties as required.
Experience :
Minimum three (3) years knowledge and experience in Set-Up Technician position
Working knowledge of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
Working knowledge of process troubleshooting and mold setting
Ability to read and interpret part prints.
Educational Requirements : Prefer High School diploma or equivalent. 3 - 5 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
