Job Summary
The Manufacturing Technician will work with the Manufacturing Team to execute Good Manufacturing (GMP) operations for clinical and pre-clinical drug manufacturing. This team member will also support the control of materials within the company's GMP operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform aseptic technique and basic operator skills (pipetting, reagent compounding, weighting basic calculations, record keeping)
Staging of equipment for preclinical and clinical drug manufacturing
Manually perform ingress and egress of materials through a cleanroom and semi automated isolator
Maintain accountability of clinical drug product and clinical materials
Perform visual inspection of filled drug product containers
Application of drug product labels and secondary packaging per established procedures
Execute various facility and equipment maintenance tasks to maintain compliance including routine sanitization of materials, cleanroom and equipment
Gowning to various cleanroom standards (glove, hairnet or full sterile "bunny suit")
Perform all work associated with the receipt of critical materials and confirmation of each shipment's conformance to company specifications
Accurate labeling, storage, and inventory control of all critical material
Assist with domestic and international shipments of drug product, materials, and equipment
Adhere to company, local, and federal Good Manufacturing Practices
Perform various other duties as directed by the Manufacturing Manager
Key Qualifications
Preferred experience working within a highly regulated industry, working knowledge of biotech / pharmaceutical Good Manufacturing Practices a plus
Associates degree in life sciences or 0 to 2 years working in a life science field
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate across disciplines
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
Able to stand for long periods of time while working within glove ports or in a flow hood
Able to do repetitive work while paying high attention to detail
Able to maintain good personal hygiene
Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a semi frequent basis
