Job Summary
The Nutrition Director is responsible for the management and daily operation of the dietary program, ensuring services are in compliance with quality, efficacy, and execution of care that the nutrition team delivers to each client at Prosperity. The Director ensures that the Nutrition Program adheres to all safety, sanitation, clinical, and quality standards. They are responsible for utilizing evidence-based practices and ensuring exceptional care. The Director will be skilled in medical nutrition therapy, group facilitation, effective documentation, and interacting with client support systems and referring professionals. The Registered Dietitians, Dietitian Technicians, Chef/cook, and Dietetic/nutrition Interns report directly to the Nutrition Director. The Nutrition Director collaborates with the Clinical Director and Program Director to ensure the best possible care and ultimately reports to the COO and CEO. The Nutrition Director also manages a caseload of clients with the same roles and responsibilities as a Registered Dietitian.

Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management: Responsible for all aspects of the Nutrition team, including schedules, approving time off, setting performance goals, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Program Development: Develops dietary program aligning with Prosperity and other industry standards to ensure effective utilization of evidence-based practices.
- Budget Management: Oversee the management of the Nutrition and Dietary budget.
- Menu Planning & Scheduling: Ensure the weekly menu and schedule produces successful treatment outcomes.
- Staff Training & Supervision: Train Registered Dietitians, Diet Technicians, and Dietary Interns. Provide supervision to nutrition staff as needed.
- Clinical Care: Facilitate individual, group, and family sessions. Develop and manage clinical dietary interventions regarding refusals, supplements, etc.
- Kitchen Management: Ensure effective kitchen management and maintenance is meeting industry regulations.
- Collaboration & Protocol Development: Work collaboratively with the treatment team in directing, training, and developing dietary protocols that support positive outcomes.
- Networking & Public Relations: Participate in networking opportunities and public speaking. Maintain positive relationships with referring providers.
- Family Engagement: Engage family members to collaborate with the client's dietary plan and experiential meals.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure that all dietary assessment, documentation, and discharge plans by the dietary team are compliant. Will sign off on nutrition staff notes as needed.
- Curriculum & Intake Management: Approve curriculum for nutrition groups. Conduct Admission Intakes.
- Experience: Ideally, the Nutrition Director has at least 3-5 years working in the field of eating disorders and has a Master's in Nutrition Science or a related field.
- Certification: The Director will have obtained a CEDRD (Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian) or is actively working towards it.
- Skills: This position requires training in leadership, management, and ethics.
- Experience in Eating Disorders: Minimum of 3 years working in the field of eating disorders is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree (Required)
- Master's degree in Nutrition Science or related field (Preferred)
- Registered Dietitian (Required)
- CEDRD (Preferred, or actively working towards)
- Eating disorder experience (3 years Preferred)
