Job Title : Production Supervisor
Job Overview : The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring smooth production flows on all lines while producing high-quality products safely and efficiently. This role involves leading operations for hourly employees and driving continuous improvements in safety, quality, on-time delivery, and productivity.
Job Responsibilities :
Organize, lead, and supervise production employees, proactively solving problems.
Provide coaching and guidance to employees, fostering a productive environment.
Champion a strong safety culture within the team.
Collaborate with other supervisors to schedule overtime and execute labor plans.
Communicate and follow up effectively with the team and management.
Manage a shift of 50 employees, including delegating responsibilities.
Monitor daily production boards and provide hourly target feedback.
Observe and evaluate line processes and personnel for efficiency and safety.
Handle day-to-day activities such as workforce movements, job assignments, and attendance.
Maintain accurate records and employee files.
Lead by example, motivating and holding employees accountable.
Address daily employee issues and complaints, providing feedback and solutions.
Assist with special projects, customer requests, and samples.
Work closely with quality control to ensure high standards are met.
Participate in hiring, promoting, and terminating employees as necessary.
Evaluate employee performance and administer discipline when needed.
Ensure a safe work environment and manage continuous improvement projects.
Required Education and Experience :
Associate's degree, technical education, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
Ability to make independent decisions and provide leadership.
Skilled in handling multiple tasks and solving complex issues.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Education and Experience :
Bachelor's degree.
Experience with Kronos, SAP, and MES systems.
Supervisor or Lead experience
Working Conditions :
Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to handle materials of varying weights and maintain physical stamina.
Use of safety equipment such as hair nets, earplugs, hard hats, and safety glasses.
Work environment with temperatures averaging 50-60 degrees Fahrenheit.
