PROGRAM DIRECTOR fulfills direct service, as well as providing oversight, supervision, and accountability to staff. When working in the Intensive Outpatient Program may be working with adults as well as adolescent clients
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Case Load and Client Well-Being : Manage assigned client caseloads, ensuring clients' well-being and program integrity.
Staff Oversight and Supervision : Supervise and provide training to program staff, including clinical supervision for those pursuing licensure.
Program Compliance : Ensure that staff services comply with policies, procedures, licensing, and accreditation requirements.
Client-Centered Services : Ensure staff use a consumer and client-centered approach in all treatment activities and that treatment plans address client strengths and impairments.
Recruitment and Staff Development : Participate in recruitment, hiring, training, and ongoing development of program staff.
Documentation and Quality Assurance : Perform regular chart reviews, ensure timely documentation, and ensure compliance with agency and funding source standards.
Crisis and Consultation : Provide after-hours crisis consultation, participate in treatment team meetings, and offer guidance on child abuse and crisis issues.
Professional Development and Compliance : Attend required trainings, stay current on legal standards.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Following are the qualifications required to perform the essential functions of this position. Qualifications may be subject to modification based on the Americans with Disabilities Act.
A Masters or Doctorate degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or social science. A license, or registration issued by the governing state board is required. A minimum of two years experience in evaluating and / or treating persons suffering from mental illness and / or substance abuse is preferred.
Ability to provide clinical supervision to associate clinicians is required.
Prior training in EMDR, DBT, ACT, Mindfulness or other evidenced-based practices is preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
Must have valid California driver's license and liability insurance if driving personal and / or company vehicle on business.
Vision, hearing, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination must be adequate for performance of job duties. Able to sit at desk, use keyboard, write and physically perform other job duties. Able to move about the facility to observe clients and staff.
Must be customer-service driven.
