Job Title : Project Engineer - Highway / Transportation

Key Responsibilities :
Prepare studies and designs of roadways, intersections, shared-use paths, parking lots , and other auxiliary facilities .
Work on roadway and intersection reconstruction projects , and bicycle and pedestrian facilities for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) , municipalities, and other state agencies.
Design horizontal and vertical geometry, grading, drainage , and develop construction plan sets .
Perform quantity takeoffs , and prepare estimates and specifications .
Collaborate with clients and project teams to ensure projects progress efficiently and meet client expectations.
Key Requirements :
B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering
4-10 years of relevant experience in transportation engineering.
EIT certification or ability to take the FE exam within six months of hire. PE certification is a plus!
Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD / Civil 3D .
Experience with other Civil Engineering software applications (e.g., SignCAD, ParkCAD, HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, HY-8, ArcGIS, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam ) is desired but not required.
Experience with MassDOT Design Standards is a plus.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills .
