Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Payroll / HR Specialist at We are a heavy civil contractor located in Stayton, OR. The Payroll / HR Specialist will be responsible for Prevailing Wage Payroll
Qualifications
2 years of experience in Prevailing Wage
Associate / Bachelors is a plus
Software : Viewpoint Spectrum required
Experience in the construction industry is a plus
Responsibilities :
Ensure workers are paid the correct prevailing wage rate as per local or federal laws.
Maintain wage records and submit certified payroll reports to verify compliance.
Stay updated on prevailing wage rates for job classifications and apply them correctly.
Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure they comply with prevailing wage laws.
Educate workers and contractors on prevailing wage laws and proper wage reporting.
Address wage disputes and resolve issues of underpayment or misclassification.
Conduct audits to ensure wages are paid correctly and collaborate with agencies for compliance.
Report violations and take corrective actions to ensure proper compensation for workers.
