Role - Recycling Operations Manager
Locaion - Kapolei, HI
Job Summary
Our client is looking for a highly effective and efficient individual to oversee all aspects of production and related departments at the facility to include production, shipping & receiving, daily operations, safety and maintenance.
The principle function of this position is to oversee and execute all operations, to provide direction to recycling center staff, to ensure all tasks are performed, to provide operational support and coordination throughout the recycling center and with our customers.
Responsibilities :
PROCESS MANAGEMENT & IMPROVEMENT
Streamlining workflows to increase efficiency
Implementing best practices to enhance productivity
Managing budgets and optimizing costs
TEAM LEADERSHIP & PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
Supervising and coordinating teams across departments
Determine staffing levels to maximize manpower
Conduct training of employees as needed
Ensure Company policies and procedures are followed
Setting goals, monitoring KPIs and ensuring performance targets are met
Hiring, training and developing staff
RESOURCE & SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
Overseeing procurement, inventory and vendor relationships
Ensuring timely delivery of goods / services
Managing operational budgets and minimizing waste
QUALITY ASSURANCE & COMPLIANCE
Ensuring Company policies, safety standards and legal regulations are followed
Conducting audits and assessments for continuous improvement
STRATEGIC PLANNING & PROBLEM SOLVING
Identifying operational risks and mitigating them
Implementing new technologies or systems to improve operations
Collaborating with senior leadership for long term growth
Requirements
Read, write and speak English
5 years recycling experience or related fields
Distinguish different types of recyclables (ie. ferrous and nonferrous metals)
Experience in the operation and maintenance of various types of heavy equipment
Strong communication, leadership and teamwork skills
Ability to work flexible schedule
Pre-Employment drug test mandatory
