We seek full-time Resident Engineers (RE) with experience in roadway and bridge construction projects.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • Illinois Licensed Professional Engineer Preferred
  • 5 plus years experience on construction projects
  • Current IDOT Documentation Certificate
  • Strong technical, verbal and written skills
  • Experience with CDOT, IDOT, ISTHA and / or CDWM preferred
  • IDOT Construction and Materials Management System (CMMS) preferred

Responsibilities :

  • Manage construction projects from conception to close
  • Ensure contract compliance according to plans and specifications
  • Manage project team including subconsultants
  • Manage and assist in field inspection and documentation
  • Coordinate and communicate with client and contractor
  • Conduct project meetings
  • Prepare contractor pay estimates
  • Perform constructability reviews
  • Manage project schedule and budget
