Job Summary :
Our client is opening a location in the Rhode Island area to service their clients in that area. We are seeking highly qualified individuals for the position of Senior Audit Associate. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, driven to produce quality work, and enthusiastic about continuous learning within an ever-evolving industry. This is a highly visible and important role within the organization, with significant client contact. Outgoing and engaging candidates strongly encouraged to apply.

The position will be remote with some on site client visitation and will have the benefit of working closely with firm supervisors and partners. We promote having communications with all our staff.
Please note this is a remote position, with flexibility and periodic visitation at client locations, approximately 30 times a year and within one hour of Providence.
Responsibilities :
Perform and assist with audits, reviews, and compilations for clients in the assisted housing industry, HUD, etc.
Prepare and analyze financial statements and evaluate internal controls
Assist with the coordination of the day-to-day duties of planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up
Develop reasonable time budgets and coordinate audit requests to meet time constraints and client deadlines
Train and mentor audit associates
Contribute to a strong client relationship through positive interactions with client personnel
Demonstrate the ability to act as a point of contact for clients
Communicate with Audit Manager on work status and client issues that arise
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Experience :
Bachelor's degree in accounting
Experience in Accounting firm. preferred but not required
Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
Professional, driven, and self-motivated
Outstanding organizational and project management skills
Strong verbal / written communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to collaborate with others on tasks to meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential material
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong time management skills and ability to work independently
Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment and approaches projects with a sense of urgency
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Preferred (but not necessary) : Certified Public Accountant or actively studying and preparing for CPA certification
Schedule :
Monday to Friday. Friday's off during summer
