We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Fire Alarm Technician to join our dynamic team and ensure the successful installation, maintenance, and service of fire alarm systems.
Position Summary :
As a Senior Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, testing, inspection, and maintenance of fire alarm systems for a wide range of commercial, industrial, and residential clients. You will lead a team of technicians, manage complex fire alarm projects, troubleshoot and repair systems, and ensure compliance with all local regulations and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead the installation, maintenance, and servicing of fire alarm systems, including analog and addressable systems.
Supervise and mentor junior technicians, providing training and guidance as needed.
Perform thorough inspections and testing of fire alarm systems to ensure they meet safety codes and standards.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in both new and existing systems, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Coordinate with project managers to ensure smooth and efficient project execution.
Work closely with clients to understand their fire protection needs and provide solutions.
Document all service activities, including inspections, repairs, and upgrades.
Ensure compliance with all relevant fire codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
Respond to emergency service calls and assist with fire alarm system troubleshooting and repair during off-hours if necessary.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
In-depth knowledge of fire alarm systems, including installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of local, state, and national fire alarm codes and regulations.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and fire alarm system blueprints and schematics.
Experience with various fire alarm brands and systems (e.g., Honeywell, Siemens, Bosch, etc.).
Ability to lead a team and provide excellent customer service.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Fire Alarm License or certification (preferred but not required).
NFPA certifications or equivalent (preferred but not required).
