This individual should have 10 years of experience in traffic engineering who is eager to lead and support complex traffic and transportation projects. About You :
Perform, manage, and oversee design on traffic and transportation projects while often being the Technical Design Lead on concurrent projects
Perform detailed traffic analysis, traffic signal design, traffic modeling and simulation, intersection geometrics, complete streets, and temporary traffic controls
Review and prepare traffic related contract documents
Provide responsive client service through strong and expeditious communication with attendance and presentation at client and public meetings
Mentor junior staff to enhance their knowledge and advance their career development
Perform business development efforts alongside the Marketing / BD department and manage project pursuits
Skills & Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
10 years of related engineering experience in Traffic Engineering
CT Professional Engineer License required or working towards licensure
Working knowledge of CTDOT requirements and standards
Proficiency with traffic analysis, modeling, and traffic signal design
Proficiency with AutoCAD and MicroStation
Knowledge about traffic signal equipment and controller menu navigation
Ability to perform on-site signal equipment / operational diagnostic services
Must be able to collect field data and measurements including but not limited to roadway, sidewalk, and utility assets; and perform asset inspections
Must be able to lift / move objects weighing up to 40 pounds; to perform field work in both hot and cold weather (rain and / or snow); to stand or sit for long periods of time
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
