Structural Engineer

Job Title: Structural Engineer

Location: Raleigh, NC

Duties

• Perform structural calculations and analysis using engineering software

• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop structural designs that meet project requirements

• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications for construction projects

• Conduct site visits to assess existing structures and provide recommendations for repairs or modifications

• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards

• Review and approve construction plans and drawings

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field

• Minimum 2 years experience in design of wood framed residential structures

• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, EI Certification Required

• Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices

• Proficiency in AutoCAD

• Excellent technical writing and communication skills

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to communicate via phone and email with clients, subcontractors, and inspectors

• Project engineering experience is a plus
