The ideal candidate will have expertise in PLC and DCS programming, control system design, and instrumentation specification while ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain PLC, DCS, and HMI systems for process control.
- Conduct process control studies and develop optimized control strategies to enhance system performance.
- Specify instrumentation and control devices, including control valve sizing and selection.
- Design field wiring, power distribution systems, and substation specifications to ensure efficient operation.
- Perform ARC Flash calculations, motor controls/VFD specification, and system integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement control solutions for fixed, fired, and rotating equipment.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Prepare technical documentation, including P&ID 'bubbling' and project reports.
✅ Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in PLC, DCS, and HMI programming.
- Strong understanding of instrument specification, control valve sizing, and power distribution.
- Knowledge of substation design, motor controls/VFD, and ARC Flash calculations.
- Experience with process & utility piping design and working with fixed, fired, and rotating equipment.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
