Job Summary
- As the Vice President of Sales, you will be overseeing the day-to-day activities of your sales.
- You must have a book of business to bring with you (This is a must)
- VP of Sales will work closely with our operations team or you can do everything on you owe.
- Company is a Transportation Brokerage Company.
- We handle all sorts of Truckload business as well as LTL. Company has been around for over 35 years in the trucking business.
Responsibilities
Monitor the day-to-day activities of your sales and operations
Provide guidance and help with difficult sales situations
Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate new leads, sales initiatives, and sales opportunities
Conduct performance reviews and disciplinary actions, as needed
Interview, hire, and train new staff members
Work closely with multiple departments and maintain strong relationships and lines of communication
Qualifications
Extensive sales and management experience desired
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to multitask and shift priorities as needed
Must have a book of business to bring over to justify salary and commission
Experience using basic computer programs, such as the Microsoft Office suite

They must have a book of business to bring over. This is a must. Company is in the trucking industry on a 3PL (third-party logistics) Brokerage. They MUST have a book of business and they have to bring it over to justify the salary.
