We are a premier accounting and business advisory firm in Central PA and Maryland, is seeking a Tax Manager to join our growing team! As a Tax Manager, you will be provided with the opportunity to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. You'll advise clients on all federal and state tax affairs, providing expert tax compliance and consulting services. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients helping them navigate complex tax regulations and optimize their tax strategies.

- Provide expert tax advisory services and technical review for clients across various industries.
- Conduct tax research and planning, offering innovative solutions to complex tax matters.
- Develop expertise in a specialty tax area and contribute to the firm's technical knowledge.
- Utilize software such as Ultratax, CCH, and Engagement to enhance tax processes.
- Lead and manage multiple tax engagements, ensuring quality and timely completion.
- Proactively manage a portfolio of clients, addressing their tax and financial needs.
- Oversee billing, collection, budgeting, and deadline monitoring.
- Build strong relationships with clients and identify opportunities to provide additional services.
- Train, mentor, and supervise staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Provide constructive feedback and support team members' professional growth.
- Act as a role model for the team, demonstrating leadership and technical expertise.
- Drive business development initiatives by identifying new opportunities with clients.
- Contribute to the firm's growth by participating in recruiting, training, and process improvements.
- Maintain compliance with AICPA and GAGAS standards, ensuring independence and ethical practices.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Advanced degree (e.g Master's in Taxation) preferred.
- CPA or Member of the Bar.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in corporate and partnership tax, preferably in a public accounting firm.
- Proficiency in tax software and other accounting tools (e.g., CCH Axcess, Thomson Reuters Ultra Tax) is highly desirable.
- Valid Drivers license or reliable transportation
- Provide strategic tax planning advice to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings, minimizing tax liabilities, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of complex tax issues, staying up-to-date with the tax laws and regulations to provide clients with accurate and timely guidance.
- Review and supervise the preparation of corporate and partnership tax returns, ensuring precision and compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Thorough knowledge of the tax issues facing privately held Corporations, S Corporations and Partnerships, including state tax matters, especially in the areas of tax compliance, tax accounting and consulting services.
- Knowledge of individual tax returns and the interplay of corporate and owner tax regulations.
- Considerable experience identifying and addressing client needs: building, maintaining and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement, managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collections; and preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials.
