A leading education law firm is seeking a Associate Attorney to join its Student Services and Disabilities Legal Practice Group (SSDLPG). This group focuses on legal matters related to students in preschool through 12th grade, with an emphasis on special education, Section 504, ADA, and related disability and discrimination issues.

Associate Attorney - Student Services And Disabilities Practice Group.

Experience Level: 0-5 years.

Job Type: Full-Time.

Estimated Salary Range: $101,000 - $151,000/year.

Billable Hour Requirement: 1850-1900 hours/year.

Responsibilities

  • Support senior attorneys with legal research, writing, and case development.
  • Counsel school district clients on disability-related education matters.
  • Assist with litigation and represent clients in proceedings before the OAH, CDE, and OCR.
  • Participate in court appearances and contribute to trial preparation.

Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Some courtroom experience (preferred).
  • Passion for student advocacy and education law.

Interview Process: 2-3 rounds, depending on participant availability.
