A new firm with Alaska offices in North Pole and Delta Junction, seeks an entry-level associate attorney to join our state law practice team and grow our Civil Litigation and Appellate Work, Administrative Law, Real and Personal Property, Estate Planning and Probate, Contracts, and Business Law areas of law.
Interested lawyers must be graduates of an ABA-accredited law school and possess an Alaska law license or be able to obtain one through reciprocity or by examination. Any experience level is eligible to apply and interview. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively with leads, clients, opposing counsel, and adjudicators through written or oral advocacy. Associates will manage their own time and case load with some supervision and guidance by the senior attorney. Training and mentorship opportunities are provided. License and membership fees are paid by client or reimbursed if paid within 6-months of employment with the client.

Core Duties
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and motions.
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
- Represent clients in court proceedings and administrative hearings as required.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to cases and client interactions.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and provide legal administrative support as needed.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear and concise legal documents.
- Negotiation skills with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
- Prior experience in a law office setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
