We are hiring a Registered Civil Engineer to work in-person from our Santa Paula office with strong technical abilities and interest in residential, industrial, and commercial civil engineering.
Key responsibilities include working with a team to assist in the preliminary engineering stages, coordinating and reviewing various plans. You will work alongside our Senior Engineers on projects in the industrial, municipal and environmental markets. You'll work on the designs, calculations and modelling in preparation of specification and drawing packages for construction of water distribution, sewer collection, pumping station, roadways, stormwater, and all aspects of a linear focused design.

Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience managing projects through initial planning, design, and construction phases.
- Professional license (PE) as a Civil Engineer
- Experience needed with cut and fill calculations and retaining walls
- Experience with modelling and design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil3D, etc.) preferred
- Experience related to water resources projects preferred
- Prepare estimates and feasibility reports for new or modified services and structures.
- Administer contracts for construction projects.
- Perform complex calculations and prepare estimates of material costs and time considerations.
- Participate in the plan check, review, and processing of plans for private developments affecting streets, sewers, drains and related public works facilities and ensure that they meet all imposed requirements.
- Check building plans for compliance with applicable building codes and ordinances.
- Prepare special engineering studies and reports.
- Prepare site plans and mapping of wet and dry utilities.
- Review and order surveys and topography.
