Job Description
POSITON OVERVIEW:
We Continue to provide high quality Civil Engineering, Traffic/Transportation Engineering and roadway and construction layout Surveying services throughout the northeast since 1961.
We are looking for experienced Civil/Site, and Transportation Engineers who will be responsible for the development of site designs, stormwater management, traffic impact studies, traffic control/management plans, and general civil and transportation design projects. Strong organizational and communication skills along with proficient technical capabilities are a must. We are involved with a wide range of engineering projects requiring municipal, state, and private land development and transportation services.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The ideal candidates have approximately 3 to 10 years of experience and are a registered Professional Engineer in Massachusetts, or anticipating licensure. The Site/Civil candidates will be required to develop Site Layout, and Grading and Drainage Designs, as well as the development of Utility, Site Preparation and Demolition, Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control, and Construction Detail Plans. The project types include public municipal facilities, public and private school projects, and private development sites including multi residential, mixed use and commercial properties. The candidates will need to be intimately familiar and able to design to the MA DEP Storm Water Management Standards, as well as best management practices when the Standards are not applicable. Software requirements include current AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCADD, and AutoTurn experience.
The Transportation Engineering candidates must be familiar with the development of Traffic Impact Assessments, Traffic Management/Control Plans, Roadway Design, Traffic Signal Phasing and Timing, and the development of designs in accordance with MassDOT requirements. Software requirements include Synchro version 11.0.
Both positions will require strong communication and management skills. Coordinating directly with clients, state and local officials, various permitting boards and state departments will be a daily requirement. Development of junior engineers will also be required. Most of our projects require management from inception to the completion of construction.
