Key Responsibilities
- Manage a book of business and serve as the primary point of contact for commercial lines clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and proactively identifying opportunities for coverage improvements.
- Handle renewals, endorsements, certificates, and policy changes efficiently while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Work alongside agents, underwriters and insurance carriers to negotiate terms, pricing, and coverage options.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure clients' needs are met and provide high levels of customer service.
- Assist with claims management and advocate for clients during the claims process.
- Monitor client satisfaction and make recommendations to improve service as a product.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial lines insurance, preferably in an Account Manager or similar role.
- Knowledge of commercial insurance policies, coverage options, and industry best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and deliver outstanding client service.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficient in insurance agency management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment while maintaining a positive attitude and a competitive edge.
- Professional designation such as CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) or CISR (Certified Insurance Service Representative) is a plus.
- Must be based in the Indianapolis area and available for in-office meetings and client visits as needed.
