Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to build accurate cost estimates for various projects. This role requires a deep understanding of construction management principles and the ability to negotiate prices effectively. The Estimator will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and overhead costs.
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
• Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create comprehensive bid documents.
• Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather data for cost analysis.
• Analyze blueprints and specifications to determine project scope and requirements.
• Prepare and present estimates to clients, addressing any questions or concerns regarding pricing.
• Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve optimal cost control.
  
  

Experience

• Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles and construction site operations.
• Familiarity with estimating software, particularly HeavyBid and Bluebeam, is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail in cost calculations.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
• A background in construction management is a plus but not mandatory.
