Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled machinist with 10 years of experience operating manual and CNC machines to produce precision components. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Experience training and leading junior machinists is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and CNC milling machines, lathes, and other precision equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Select appropriate tools, speeds, and feed rates for machining operations.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and dimensional specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines as needed.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
  
  

Qualifications

Required:

• Experience: Minimum 8-10 years as a machinist in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.).
• Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret technical drawings and understand GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Quality Control: Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Work Ethic: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  
  

Preferred Experience With The Following Equipment & Controls

• Lathes: Okuma OSP P300 Control Lathe, Mazak Lathe with Mazatrol Control
• Mills: Siemens Controls, Prototrak Mills (VM and SMX), Fadal Mill
  
  

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CNC programming software.
• Knowledge of different materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
• Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
