- Manage and implement quality control processes for the fabrication of hydraulic steel structures and structural steel for bridges in accordance with AWS D1.5 code and project specifications.
- Perform inspections and tests to ensure all welds, materials, and structures meet quality standards and client requirements.
- Ensure compliance with USACE and Department of Transportation (DOT) specifications for hydraulic structures and bridge components.
- Collaborate with project engineers, welders, and fabricators to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Develop, maintain, and review quality control documentation, including inspection reports and non-conformance records.
- Lead a team of quality control personnel, providing training and guidance on AWS D1.5 code and quality standards.
- Extensive experience in fabrication quality control for hydraulic steel structures and structural steel for bridges.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS D1.5 code and quality standards for USACE and DOT bridge projects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or similar certification preferred.
- Experience with Radiographic Testing of welds a plus.
