Job Responsibilities
- Manage food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance of food manufacturing production lines for the company and ensure interpretation and implementation of food safety and quality policies, regulatory, customer and supplier standards.
- Responsible for Environmental Monitoring program, Hold program, Consumer Complaints, laboratory oversight and daily operational function.
- Work closely with the Director of FSQA to oversee the internal and external audit programs, including SQF and FSMA compliance, and other tasks assigned by the Director of FSQA.
- Perform and document assigned investigations (e.g., audits, product complaints, discrepancies in production) determine root cause and propose appropriate corrective preventative actions for associated issues and events relating to food safety. Assist with the timely completion of corrective/preventative action.
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Food Science, Food Technology or related field required.
- At least three years of managerial experience in quality control in a food manufacturing facility.
- HACCP, PCQI and SQF Practitioner certification are required.
- Working knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
