Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on construction equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
- Conduct comprehensive inspections to identify potential issues and prevent future breakdowns.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and technical manuals to determine necessary repairs.
- Replace and rebuild components such as engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and braking systems.
- Perform welding and fabrication work as needed.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all repairs performed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
- Provide on-site field service repairs and emergency breakdown support to customers.
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete jobs efficiently and accurately.
- Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and other team members regarding repair needs and progress.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic (construction equipment preferred).
- Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and powertrains.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
- Must have a valid driver's license (CDL is a plus).
- Ability to lift heavy objects (50 lbs) and work in various outdoor conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours and occasional overtime.
