- Licensure or Certification issued by the governing board currently operating in the State of North Carolina regulating a human service profession.
- Experience in the clinical area to be served.
- Experience with Medicaid and State requirements is preferred
- Ability to provide clinical services using Evidence Based Practices
- Possess good interpersonal, writing and computer skills.
- Knowledge of socio-cultural characteristics of service population.
- Ability to provide crisis support.
- Responsible for providing therapeutic services in various environments as assigned.
- Participate in the development of the Person Centered Plan.
- Provide individual, group or family counseling/therapy to clients as indicated in the Person Centered Plan and specific program requirements and as allowed by competency/credential
- Assure that all authorizations for services are current and are updated in a timely manner.
- Provide input for Treatment Team Meetings.
- Provide telephone contact with clients and collateral persons to assist the client in meeting the goals specified in the Person Centered Plan.
- For SAIOP groups, ensure that the maximum face-to-face staff-to-client ratio is not more than 12 adult clients to one QP based on average daily attendance (the ratio for adolescents will be 1:6)
- Educate clients with strategies for relapse prevention that include community and social support systems in treatment.
- Provides client education by conducting alcohol and other drug education classes, teaching life-skills, and conducting HIV/AIDS classes as assigned.
- For each client assigned, inform them about benefits, community resources and services; assist the client in accessing benefits and services; arrange for the client to receive benefits and services; and monitor the provision of services.
- Ensure each client assigned in SAIOP meets the program criteria and is in compliance with the minimum attendance hours as defined by the service definition.
- Provide First Responder crisis response 24/7/365 as required by service definition in rotation with team.
- Maintain open communication with other staff as it relates to the progress and needs of the clients.
- Work standard office hours with flexibility as approved by supervisor.
- Responsible for travel using personal vehicle with overnight travel required on occasion.
- Attend trainings as required.
- Prepare correspondence in conjunction with management of client care.
- Report to proper authority any non-compliance with governing standards and/or any suspicions of abuse or neglect.
- Maintain confidentiality and other responsibilities listed in governmental laws and regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisors.
- NC TOPPS completion as required.
- Conduct RRS intakes, groups, and other associated services
- Submit documentation for all services within state guidelines. Documentation submitted within 24 hours and no later than 7 days.
- Provide Peer Support Services as needed and indicated.
