Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly experienced Mechanical Inspector to oversee the inspection and testing of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEPF) systems in commercial and industrial buildings. This individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety codes, design specifications, and engineering standards while maintaining seamless communication with contractors, designers, and stakeholders.

- Attend all quality control (QC) meetings with client representatives.
- Inspect and test MEPF systems including boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, elevators, cooling towers, pumps, and more.
- Ensure systems meet safety regulations, code compliance, and best engineering practices.
- Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals.
- Evaluate performance testing and balancing reports, and reconcile with HVAC designs.
- Inspect measuring equipment, review calibration records, and validate precision tools.
- Ensure material certifications align with conformance and non-conformance standards.
- Identify, communicate, and resolve issues through written and verbal coordination.
- Conduct quality evaluations and support acceptance testing processes.
- Ensure materials and systems align with energy efficiency standards and local energy codes.
- Travel to job sites as needed for inspections and compliance verification.
- Expertise in MEPF systems inspections and engineering performance evaluations.
- Strong command of ANSI and ASME standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Elite/Trane software.
- Skilled in reading and interpreting mechanical design documents and schematics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordination and documentation.
- Familiarity with fire safety system basics and energy-efficient materials.
