The Role

We are currently seeking a full-time, on-site Podiatrist to join our team in Mackay, QLD.

The Podiatrist will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating medical conditions and disorders of the foot, ankle, and lower leg.

Responsibilities Include

• Comprehensive Assessments: Perform detailed musculoskeletal, diabetic, and general nail care assessments, ensuring accurate diagnosis and tailored treatment plans.
• Demographic Variety: Confidently treat a broad range of patients, including geriatric, pediatric, and NDIS participants, providing personalized and compassionate care to each individual.
• Innovative Orthotics: Utilise your expertise to prescribe innovative orthotics, enhancing patients' mobility and overall foot health.
• Cutting-edge Treatments: Access our advanced facilities, including shockwave and laser nail treatment, to deliver cutting-edge therapies for optimal patient outcomes.
• Foot Scanning: Utilise innovative foot scanning technology to precisely assess patients' needs and create customised solutions.
• Efficient Modifications: Utilise on-site grinders to provide efficient modification turnover, ensuring timely adjustments for patients' orthotic needs.
• Footwear Assessment: Assess footwear choices and confidently prescribe appropriate alternatives, addressing comfort and support for our patients.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Podiatry and holds an AHPRA registration
• Experience in Biomechanics and Orthotics
• Strong knowledge of Diabetes and its effects on foot health
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with children, athletes, and the elderly is a plus
