Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Traffic Engineer to join our team at one of our office locations. Our Traffic Engineers work on roadway and intersection reconstruction projects, and bicycle and pedestrian facilities for public-sector and private clients. The role of this position will also include preparing and reviewing traffic impact assessment reports, functional design reports, traffic circulation and parking studies, signage and pavement marking plans, traffic signal and traffic management plans, assisting with the development of specifications, and estimates.
Whether you are working on several small projects or under a senior project manager on a larger, more complex project, you will have opportunities to have direct contact with clients and will be considered the backbone of our team. Your ability to interpret data, collaborate with various team members, and lay out strategies for progressing projects allows our clients to provide reliable access for all modes of travel, develop resilient and sustainable public infrastructure, create inviting public spaces, and build research and other facilities that transform our human and natural environments.

Job Requirements Include
- B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering
- 10-15 years of related experience
- Strong analytical skills and working knowledge of Synchro, HCS, and other traffic analysis software
- EIT certification or the ability to take the FE exam within six months of hire. PE certification is a plus! PTOE certification is desirable.
- Strong AutoCAD Civil 3D experience, preferably on MassDOT projects.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Highly motivated and responsible individual with a strong work ethic.
