Position Overview:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Manager to join our team.
- This role requires an experienced professional with a strong background in managing both quality assurance and quality control.
- We also seek an individual with a collaborative spirit toward process optimization, along with exceptional leadership skills and a focus on customer satisfaction.
- As Quality Manager, you will direct all quality assurance and control functions.
- You will also plan, direct and supervise all quality assurance practices and procedures adhering to customer specification and quality system continuous improvement.
- Direct and develop lab technicians in inspection and testing activities to ensure control over meeting material specifications in all phases of our process: raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Establish and enforce key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of quality control processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Initiates corrective action requests to vendors and approves closeout.
- Investigates quality customer complaints and initiates Action Plans for mitigation.
- Develops and approves responses to customer and internal corrective action requests and assures implementation of corrective actions.
- Participate in all quality audits; support ISO Coordinator on QMS continuous improvement efforts.
- Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establishes proposed quality and reliability expectancy of the finished product.
- Manage the maintenance and calibration of lab equipment.
- Supervise, lead and manage a team of quality control professionals, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Enforce conformance to implemented policies, operating procedures, quality systems and programs which ensure proper testing, evaluation, inspection, and technical support to meet product safety and quality standards
- Participate in plant wide collaboration efforts, including meetings, problem solving exercises, and development of action plans.
- Develop and implement quality control strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality products or services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as operations and customer service, to ensure quality control standards are integrated into all aspects of the organization.
- Skills to develop the lab team acumen through cross training and collaboration on the day's issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Internal ISO experience is strongly preferred.
- Computer skills with ability and willingness learn how to use new data base platforms and reports. (Micromain, Sharepoint, etc)
- Knowledge of the Microsoft office suite.
- Must be detail oriented.
- BS degree in Quality Control, Chemistry, or Process Engineering.
- 3-5 years of training and experience in Quality Control/Process Engineering in a chemical manufacturing environment.
