The Revenue Accountant will collaborate across multiple departments to optimize financial processes while adhering to Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Gaming Revenue Reporting - Reconcile revenue from RMG operations across multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency. File daily revenue reconciliations with the PGCB and other applicable jurisdictions.
- Customer Balances - Reconcile customer funds and process transfers and payouts, including ACH and physical checks.
- Product Improvement & Collaboration - Work closely with engineering, compliance, and customer service teams to improve data flow and ensure accurate revenue reporting.
- Compliance & Regulatory Filings - Develop and maintain knowledge of PGCB rules and regulations, ensuring all RMG financial activities comply with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and process RMG tax filings and weekly tax payments.
- Prepare required regulatory filings, including quarterly certifications and W-2G filings for jackpot payouts using Greenshades.
- Comply with the Compulsive and Problem Gambling Plan, particularly regarding prohibitions.
- Internal Controls - Maintain strong financial accounting internal controls specific to RMG operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Escheats Management - Oversee the annual escheatment process for unclaimed property, ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
- Additional Duties - Support revenue accounting functions, including preparing financial reporting footnotes and other tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in revenue accounting or a similar accounting role, preferably in the gaming or casino industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience in online gaming revenue compliance reporting is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, advanced functions, data analysis tools).
- Knowledge of PGCB regulations and gaming industry compliance is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
