REPORTS TO: SALES MANAGER

Position Summary/Objective: Our client is seeking an Account Manager to develop

and grow existing business accounts by building relationships with our clients and

supporting them through the design and ordering process. This role manages projects from

initial contact with the client, through completion of the project, including identifying

customer needs, providing solutions, and problem resolution. An Account Manager

analyzes options and makes decisions or recommendations to ensure that customer needs

are met. Revenue generation and customer satisfaction is achieved by working with

support teams in line with the Our client vision and values.

Summary Of Responsibilities

  • Penetrate existing customers and target clients to generate proposals and close

sales.

  • Discover needs by utilizing consultative selling approach.
  • Collaborate and cooperate with internal resources to facilitate solution

development.

  • Prepare proposals and client presentations, including pricing estimates that

display an in-depth knowledge of Our client, our market position, core

competencies, and organization.

  • Utilize strong communication, technical, and closing skills to present solutions

and secure new business.

  • Understand value proposition and client budget to close profitable sales.
  • Maintain relationship with customers and pursue additional new business with

the client.

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual quotas.
  • Demonstrate ability to work within a team selling environment
  • Partner with internal functions and customer service to discover new business

opportunities.

  • Collaborate with internal resources to solve customer problems.
  • Adhere to and follow company service implementation guidelines and vision

statement.

  • Continually improve personal selling capabilities and utilize strong time

management and organizational skills.

  • Continuously learn and apply new and previously learned selling skills,

strategies, and techniques.

  • Develop and maintain high level of product, market, and industry knowledge.
  • Prioritize and follow through on issues.
  • Successfully forecast sales and pipeline.
  • Maintain and update CRM tool
  • Present progress weekly, monthly, quarterly, and update annually

Required Competencies

Communication: Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Communication Skills Include

staff, other internal customers, and vendors in timely manner.

  • Advising - Provides clear information and solutions to internal and external

customers regarding problems or issues.

  • Writing - Composes effective letters, emails, proposals, and other correspondence.
  • Public speaking - Participates in presentations for an internal or external audience.

Computer skills: Must have basic knowledge of how to use a desktop and/or laptop

computer for creating written correspondence, sending and receiving email, accessing the

internet, and using the company system, which includes Team Design, Salesforce, and

CAP worksheet.

Customer Interface and Knowledge: Must be able to effectively interact with internal

and external customers, understand and assess needs, instill confidence, resolve

complaints, and follow through on commitments.

Planning, Organizing, and Forecasting: Must be able to establish priorities, organize

data, maintain flexibility, allocate resources, schedule projects, manage meetings, and

anticipate future needs.

Problem Solving: Uses problem solving skills to identify, anticipate, proactively solve

problems and make decisions based upon familiarity with client and specific situation.

Process Improvement: Must be able to understand the process, gather and analyze data,

implement improvements, and measure results.

Professional Integrity and Leadership: Engages in professional behaviors and

practices, contributes to a work climate that promotes productivity and employee

motivation, accepts responsibility for personal actions and decisions; is able to establish

objectives, accept accountability, create a healthy work environment, and manage change.

Team Work and Collaboration: Must be able to establish and maintain good working

relationships with co-workers, clients, and vendors.

Education and Experience: Sales experience and/or Interior Design experience is

preferred.
