Key Responsibilities
Scheduling & Dispatching
- Schedule service appointments based on availability, technician expertise, and customer location.
- Dispatch technicians and field service teams to service calls efficiently.
- Monitor and update service schedules in real time to accommodate last-minute requests or cancellations.
- Optimize routes for service technicians to reduce response times and increase efficiency.
- Customer & Technician Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between customers and service teams.
- Provide customers with service time estimates, updates, and follow-ups.
- Maintain open communication with technicians, ensuring they have all necessary job details before dispatch.
- Address customer inquiries, reschedule appointments when necessary, and manage service delays effectively.
- Track service progress and ensure timely completion of jobs.
- Maintain detailed records of service requests, technician assignments, and completed jobs.
- Use dispatch and scheduling software to manage workflows and improve efficiency.
- Assist with invoicing, reporting, and documentation related to service operations.
- Previous experience as a dispatcher, scheduler, or in a similar logistics/service coordination role.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with scheduling/dispatching software (e.g., ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Fleet Complete, or similar tools).Ex
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing schedules.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with the automotive, roadside assistance, or service industry is a plus.
