- Travel: Nationwide but primarily within NY and NJ.
We are seeking candidates with experience in the MEP/HVAC/Energy Consulting industry. The candidate must have a working knowledge of HVAC systems. Additionally, the candidate shall possess a combination of technical expertise and good communication skills. The candidate will be responsible for executing multiple projects with the expectation of completing them on schedule and within scope.
Essential Job Functions - Operational Duties:
- Perform energy audits, retro-commissioning and assist with MEP design projects.
- Review and perform engineering analysis/energy savings calculations utilizing Microsoft Excel and eQuest energy modeling software to produce tangible deliverables.
- Analyze utility bills to identify building energy consumption and potential opportunities for reduction.
- Perform feasibility, energy savings, and cost-benefit financial analyses for potential energy conservation measures.
- Conduct filed surveys of existing mechanical, plumbing and fire protection systems.
- Design of mechanical systems for the built environment for various types of projects including institutional, healthcare, multifamily, and commercial.
- Develop detailed design drawings in Auto CAD MEP and/or Revit.
- Develop flow diagrams, P&IDs, equipment schedules, and detailed plans and specs.
- Coordinate design drawings with other trades such as architectural, civil, structural, electrical and any other building trades utilized on the projects.
- Perform construction administration duties including review of shop drawings, submittals, responding to RFIs, and helping to resolve filed issues in construction.
- Perform load calculations, equipment selection and sizing for design of HVAC equipment and systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in MEP industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD MEP. Revit experience a plus.
- Professional Engineering License.
- Valid U.S. Driver's License.
- Must be able to travel to job sites independently.
- Self-starting nature with the ability to see tasks through completion while meeting project budgets and deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stay focused and organized.
- Good customer service skills.
