- Conduct surveys using advanced equipment and techniques to gather accurate measurements and data, including topography, boundaries and existing structures.
- Analyzing survey data and creating detailed survey models to be utilized for stake out and machine control applications.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers and architects to provide survey information for construction purposes.
- Utilizing software applications and computer-aided design (CAD) tools for data analysis and 3D modeling.
- Utilizing GPS and computer software to collect topographic data to produce earthwork quantities and stockpile inventories.
- Maintain and calibrate survey equipment to ensure accuracy and functionality.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in the surveying field.
- Bachelor's degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering or a related field is preferred.
- 5 years of experience in surveying or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of surveying techniques, equipment and software.
- Proficiency in using surveying instruments, such as Topcon total stations, GPS receivers, and CAD software for surveying and land mapping.
- Proficiency in using Carlson and Bentley surveying/modeling software.
- Solid understanding of survey calculations, and coordinate systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret survey data and resolve discrepancies.
- Analytical and mathematical abilities with attention to detail in survey measurements and documentation.
- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
