Position Description
AYKO WA Patriot JV is seeking a Project Manager to join our team in Gig Harbor, WA in support of projects at Naval Base Kitsap Installations including Bremerton, Silverdale, Manchester, Port Angeles, Whidbey Island, Indian Island, and Everett, WA. We are looking for a motivated, self-starter who wants to seek growth, knowledge, challenges, and a place to find community and give back. The ideal candidate will be a qualified construction management professional with experience in federal government contracting who demonstrates the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, provides leadership and guidance at the project level, and promotes strong partnering concepts.
General Information
Full Time Position: 40 hours/week
Reports to: CEO, COO
Salary Range: $90,000 - $125,000 per year

Qualifications
- Requirements:
- 5 years of experience as a Project Manager for commercial construction
- College degree; preference is 4yr degree in CM, Engineering or related field
- Estimating construction projects for both fixed price and negotiated bids
- Proficiency using Microsoft Project
- Cost tracking, forecasting, and projecting project costs
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
- Able to receive badging to work on or visit projects at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Naval Base Bangor, or any Puget Sound Federal Installation
- Position may require management of multiple projects or 1 major project depending on company needs.
- Preferences:
- Experience managing projects at PSNS, Bangor, Keyport, Whidbey Air Station or Joint Base Lewis McChord
- Experience with ECMS software
- Construction Quality Control for Contractors certificate
- Procore Experience
Project Management Role/Responsibilities
- Monitor and control the overall effort on the project for conformance to scope, schedule, budget, quality and safety. This includes project scheduling, staffing, job cost forecasting and submittal review.
- Identify and evaluate problems on the project and initiate corrective action necessary.
- Identify, negotiate and process contract change orders ensuring WA Patriot interests under the contract are protected.
- Administer the project contract to ensure performance in accordance with the contract requirements.
- Assure effective communication within the department and between departments.
- Perform subcontract administration responsibilities including negotiating agreements, writing subcontract scope descriptions, procurement of materials, processing of change orders, etc.
- Lead and perform contract closeout assuring all cost issues are properly and promptly addressed, As-Builts are completed, O & M Manuals are submitted, etc.
Construction Quality Control Functions:
- Implement the "Three Phases of Control" for each definable feature of work; schedule and attend all Preparatory and Initial Phase meetings.
- Ensure work is meeting or exceeding contract requirements. Maintain tracking.
- Ensure your project submittals including product data, shop drawings and other documentation required by the contract specifications are being completed by a Project Engineer/QC or yourself as needed.
