Position: Security Transportation Agent

Location: Mahnomen, MN

The Security Transportation Agent’s primary responsibilities are but are not limited to the following: Cannabis production is a highly regulated field and must operate in a safe and secure environment in full compliance with all regulatory requirements. In addition to the criteria listed below, security transportation agents are required to pass a comprehensive background check to qualify for a Registered Marijuana Establishment Agent Card issued by the Tribal Medical Cannabis Commission. Industry-specific and company policy training will be provided. This position reports to the Security Supervisor and/or the Security Manager.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following are included; other duties may be assigned:

Schedule: Monday through Friday (4 to 16-hour shifts)

· Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is safe and ready for transport.

· Ensure product is delivered in a timely, safe, and professional manner.

· Operate a vehicle in a safe and secure manner.

· Ensure compliance with transportation laws, regulations, and safety standards.

· Maintaining positive professional relationships with dispensary staff owned and operated by Waabigwan Mashkiki LLC as well as other Tribal Nations.

· Timely and effective communication when issues arise while making deliveries.

· Manage documents associated with medical/recreational cannabis delivery, ensuring that proper documents are kept, and manifests are returned completed, and ready for filing.

· Working knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ability to complete routine maintenance tasks such as checking and adding fluid when needed, managing oil changes, cleaning interior/exterior of the transit vehicle(s).

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Strong time management and customer service skills
• A clean driving record and must be able to be covered on company driving insurance. This is a condition for employment.
• Must be able to meet background and licensing standards throughout employment. This is a condition for employment.
• Must pass all required background checks.
• Possess valid driver’s license, Tribal or State ID
• Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
• Must remain compliant with all regulatory requirements for working at Waabigwan Mashkiki, LLC
• Must meet the licensing requirements of the Tribal Medical Cannabis Commission throughout employment.

• A Drug Free Workplace – Tests for alcohol and illegal drug use may be required prior to and during employment. Background Checks performed.

Physical Demands:

· Must be able to sit and drive for extended periods of time while maintaining focus.

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

· Must be able to load and unload totes, and packages with and without hand trucks, and wheel carts in various types of weather.

· Must be able to comprehend directions, maps, and communicate to diverse audiences to convey important details of deliveries.

· Must be able to use hands and fingers, handle and feel objects, tools, and controls.
