Dispensary Technician Part-Time

This position will provide excellent customer service, assist and facilitate purchases at the retail cannabis dispensary. The Dispensary Technician is responsible for ensuring customers have a positive and productive experience while in the store by helping when needed and keeping the store looking clean, orderly, and well-stocked. Similar to a bartender, a budtender is a key role in creating an excellent customer experience.

Starting Wage is $16.00 / hr and the Technicians are eligible for tips, which can add a good amount to the hourly rate.

Anticipated grand opening is late spring/early summer.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The following are included; other duties may be assigned:

  • Greeting customers when they walk through the door, check them in and take their order.
  • Building rapport through conversation and honest recommendations.
  • Informing customers of products or sales.
  • Responsible to ensure accurate information is recorded in all POS and compliance systems.
  • Calculates sales, collects money, and makes change.
  • Reconciles cash from their till at the end of each day.
  • Inviting the customer to join a loyalty program.
  • Assisting in maintaining inventory, receiving orders, and checking deliveries.
  • Assists with setting up merchandise displays on the sales floor, restocking inventory, and notification of depleted items.
  • Collaborating with fellow team members to keep the sales floor area clean and always organized.
  • Participates in in-service training.
  • Assists with conducting inventory of merchandise periodically during the week.

Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.

· Possess the physical, visual and judgment abilities to identify and report safety issues and/or take directives from managers and security staff to initiate and complete lock down procedures to ensure the safety of customers and property.

Certificates / Licenses / Registrations / Requirements

  • Must be twenty-one (21) years or older.
  • Able to pass background check and drug screening.
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • No Felony convictions for violent, abuse of another, theft related crimes.
  • Must fully meet the licensing requirements of the White Earth Medical Cannabis Control Board and be licensed to dispense medical cannabis according to the rules and regulations promulgated by the White Earth Medical Cannabis Control Board, in accordance to the White Earth Medicinal Cannabis Code.
