Overview
Wabash Valley (Dubois, IN) has an immediate need to hire a Quality Control Technician in the newly constructed Foods Facility. Wabash Valley specializes in the production and processing of eggs as well as value-added products. The focus of the Foods Facility will be to produce cooked egg patties and scrambled eggs. The role of the QC Technician will be to circulate throughout the production floor monitoring and documenting the processes and ensuring that we are operating according to protocol to produce safe, high-quality food products.
Main Responsibilities
· Perform monitoring procedures according to HACCP plan
· Ability to perform laboratory analysis on a daily basis
· Interaction with operators, production, warehouse and maintenance
· Provide Training / Instruction to Associates
· Participate in Audits Within Program / Facility on an as needed basis
· Understand Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) & Good Laboratory Practices (GLP’s)
· Interact with USDA/FDA on an as needed basis
· Serve as back-up to Quality Lab Technician
Skills / Experience / Certificates
· Work Experience in Food Industry (preferably with egg/dairy)
· Preferred Experience in monitoring and collection of micro samples
· HACCP / PCQI / GFSI setting experience or certification
· Critical Thinker / Good Communicator
· Have a high school diploma or equivalent
