Position Description :
This position is responsible for performing various tasks necessary to maintain tools, equipment and fixtures to keep them in working order. The work requires you to make independent judgments to solve maintenance problems. It is also responsible for the proper care and maintenance of company equipment. The work requires climbing of over six (6) feet in height using a ladder or scaffolding. Physical requirements for this job include bending / stooping, climbing, standing, kneeling and good hearing acuity for approximately 100% of shift. Working conditions consist of loud noise, welding fumes, and grinding dust.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

- Support production by minimizing equipment downtime, providing prompt response times.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance and planned production equipment repairs.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Perform minor tasks on electrical components such as sensors, fuses, breakers, etc.
- Follow safety policies and practices while maintaining Wabash's Leadership Principles and Values.
- The Maintenance Technician I position is expected to work 8 hours / day, including mandatory overtime and weekends.
- Ability to work on projects both individually and with a cross-functional team.
- Hours for this position vary based on the shift assigned.
- Perform other duties as needed or required.
