About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Process Specialist to join our team at Wabash. As an Industrial Process Specialist, you will be responsible for leading high-impact projects to optimize operational efficiency and drive innovation across our organization.
This role requires strong technical skills, project management expertise, and excellent communication abilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement large-scale process improvement initiatives that enhance production, logistics, and operational workflows.
- Develops and deploys plans to ensure timely availability and effective utilization of labor, facilities, equipment, & tooling resources.
- Works with scheduling and demand planning teams to create optimized production plans and provides capacity planning analysis.
- Interacts with production management daily on all matters relating to staffing requirements and IE activities.
- Helps determine the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow.
- Performs cycle time and bottleneck analysis. Work with plant leadership to improve productivity, quality, and throughput.
- Performs manpower planning/leveling/adjustments per volume adjustments and labor and ergonomic studies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field of study (Preferred: Industrial Engineering).
- Expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Minimum of 5 years of Industrial Engineering experience in manufacturing environment.
- Ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with CAD, PowerBI, SQL, Data Analytic as well as excellent problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience using MES and SAP systems.
- Ability to apply strong principles and analytical techniques to continuously improve the manufacturing process.
- Practical knowledge and understanding of traditional lean manufacturing systems.
- Ability to interface with all levels of the organization from shop floor to management.
- Microsoft Office experience.
- 20% travel required.
