Job Summary: Wabasso Rehabilitation and Wellness Center seeks a dedicated and compassionate Peer Recovery Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have lived experience with substance use disorder and recovery, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strong knowledge of recovery resources and support systems.
As a Peer Recovery Specialist, you will work closely with clients to develop and implement personalized recovery plans, facilitate group meetings and workshops, and provide one-on-one support. You will also collaborate with healthcare providers, counselors, and community organizations to ensure clients have access to the resources they need for long-term recovery.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and support to clients in recovery from substance use disorders.
- Develop and implement personalized recovery plans for clients.
- Facilitate group meetings and workshops promoting recovery and wellness.
- Collaborate with clinicians, case managers, and other staff to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain records and document client progress.
- Participate in regular training and education sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Must be in active recovery for a minimum of 2 years.
- Lived experience with substance use disorder and recovery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of recovery resources, services, and support systems.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in peer support or recovery services.
- Experience facilitating groups or workshops.
