FOOD SERVICE HOST POSITION

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
As a host, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional first impression by welcoming, seating, and assisting members and guests upon arrival for their dining experience.
DETAILED JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create a welcoming environment for all members and guests.
- Greet members and guests upon arrival, and escort members and guests to their dining table(s).
- Assist members and guests with any questions or needs before, during, and after their dining experience.
- Answer the phone and respond to any telephone inquiries including, but not limited to, taking reservations and placement of take-out orders.
- Promptly address any customer service issues in a professional manner and refer to management if necessary.
- Handle point-of-sale transactions for take-out orders, as necessary.
- Assist with preparing the room for dining by moving tables and chairs, clothing tables, and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils.
- Perform all assigned side work, pre and post shift.
- Protect establishment and customers by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
- Follow uniform and personal appearance standards, as well as all employee standards outlined in the employee handbook(s).
- Other duties as assigned by Food and Beverage Manager, Catering and Events Manager, or General Manager.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Capacity to be on your feet for long hours.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, rotate, climb, stand, push, lift, grasp, and reach.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in various extreme weather conditions.
- Willingness to work with or around sharp utensils, harmful chemicals and/or flying golf balls.
